It's a vine, not a snake. Freaky huh.

If not mistaken, this is the tree that has the quinine in it. We chewed on some bark.

There was a tree with jaguar scratches in it. This could be the one.

This is a campsite where, if you want, Jordy can set up an overnight in the jungle for you.

I swam first, but there is no photo to prove it, sorry. I call it swimming in warm Coca Cola. Don't think about what's in the river.

Boat ride into ever tighter river canal to get to the Baré indian village. I won't wear that cap again, that's for sure.

Manioc, the staple for the region much like corn is in Mexico, is processed by hand. Poisonous until cooked, the root is peeled and the pressed and cooked and is a great source of carbohydrates
